Graduated in 1998 with MSc. in chemistry of natural compounds, and, two years later, obtained another MA degree in cultural anthropology (St.Petersburg State University, Russia). The master thesis was dedicated to the study of connection between body and consciousness, as well as to mind-altering techniques in different cultures. After obtaining a PhD in biochemistry in 2002 at Institute of Experimental Medicine (St.Petersburg, Russia), Konstantin Kuteykin-Teplyakov worked as researcher in Inst. Biomedical Chemistry (Moscow, Russia), Dept. Neurobiochemistry (Ruhr-University Bochum), Dept. Brain Pharmacology (University of Veterinary Medicine, Hannover) and Dept. Neuropathology (University of Munich), where he acquired knowledge about molecular mechanisms of neurological diseases. At the meantime Konstantin Kuteykin-Teplyakov was involved in harm reduction program for teen drug abusers, and also served as instructor in many holotropic breathwork sessions. In 2008 on World Psychedelic Forum in Basel he presented the results of media anthropology study on impact of mind-altering drugs in different cultures.
